Projects

Multi-party project state — current work, schedule variance and next actions — shared with internal and external participants.

What it does

In detail

  • Sorted by what needs attention

A row carries a health indicator, the owner, the next open milestone, its due date and how long the project has been quiet. There is no percentage and no progress bar: neither is knowable, and both invite argument.

  • One sentence saying what done means

Each project states its completion condition in a line. It is the field that makes a written status update worth reading.

  • Outcomes are recorded, not edited

What came of a task is an entry in the record rather than a field on the card. It states whether a person or an assistant wrote it, and deleting the card does not remove it.

  • Board, timeline and the week

The same work in columns that mean the same thing everywhere, against a calendar with milestones as diamonds, and as a weekly summary of what moved, what went quiet, what is late and what closed.

  • Access is by invitation

A project is visible to those on it. Whether a person may be invited, may invite, and may start a project are three separate grants, all withheld by default.

  • Guests from outside the organisation

Invited by name and address with an expiry the server clamps to three months, admitted to exactly one project, and issued a link shown once.
